Role Types

Archway has three roles for team members, plus a special role for customers:

Admin

  • Full access to all features

  • Manage team members (invite, change roles, remove)

  • Manage billing and subscription

  • Configure organization settings (deploy approval, etc.)

  • Approve or reject bridge deployments (when approval is required)

  • Download agreement templates

  • Deploy bridges directly (bypasses approval requirement)

SE (Sales Engineer)

  • Create, edit, and deploy bridges

  • Manage customers and secrets

  • View analytics and monitoring data

  • Run security reviews

  • Hand off bridges to other team members

  • Cannot manage team members or billing

  • Deploys may require admin approval (if enabled)

Viewer

  • Read-only access to dashboards, bridges, and analytics

  • Cannot create, edit, or deploy bridges

  • Cannot manage secrets or customers

  • Useful for managers or stakeholders who need visibility

Customer

  • Access only the Customer Portal (separate app)

  • View bridge status and execution metrics

  • Provide credential values for secrets

  • View reports configured by the SE

  • Authenticated via magic link (no password)
