Deploy Approval Workflow

Updated this week

Overview

Organization admins can enable a deploy approval policy that requires admin review before bridges go live. This adds a review gate to prevent unauthorized or risky deployments.

Enabling Deploy Approval

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Find the Deploy Policy section

  3. Toggle "Require admin approval for deploys" on

Only admins can change this setting.

How It Works

  • Admin users deploy directly β€” no approval needed

  • Non-admin users (SEs) trigger a deploy request that enters Pending Approval status

  • The bridge does not go live until an admin reviews it

Reviewing a Deploy Request

When a bridge is in Pending Approval status, admins see an approval banner on the bridge detail page with two options:

  • Approve & Deploy β€” Triggers the full deployment (API key generation, version snapshot, etc.)

  • Reject β€” Reverts the bridge to Draft status. You can include an optional reason that the SE will see on the bridge detail page.

After Rejection

When a deploy is rejected, the bridge returns to Draft status and shows the rejection reason. The SE can make changes and request deployment again.
